Primarily Suburban in its makeup, Wynnewood lays along the historic Pennsylvania Main Line and has been noted as the fifth most affluent neighborhood in the United States.

Shopping in the area is spread out as Wynnewood does not necessarily have a designated downtown district. Shopping centers in the area provide residents with options for clothing, accessories, and bookstores.

The historic Wynnewood train station is home to the SEPTA stop today and provides the community with easy access to and from surrounding neighboring towns.
